How You Can Help
Climate Friendly Food Labels
Look for our climate friendly food labels in our dining halls. Menu items with the green label produce the fewest greenhouse gas emissions.
BYOC
UBC aspires to be a Zero Waste campus where as many single-use coffee cups, plastic straws, bags and cutlery are kept out of landfills and the environment as possible. Bring your own reusable cup to save 25¢ off hot beverages on campus.
Sort It Out
As part of the Zero Waste Action Plan, unwanted items are treated as reusable resources. You can make a difference by using Sort it Out stations to sort food scraps and recyclables.
Choose Climate-Friendly Foods
Meat production and food transportation are major contributors to climate change. Consider plant-based meals, eat local when possible and keep food waste to a minimum.
